Topic: Jobsite Data – gathering valuable insights beyond the basics
Equipment telematics dates back decades but was primarily used for basic information such as equipment location and run hours. Hear from a contractor and an OEM how advancements in connectivity and sensors have led to visibility into machine utilisation, diagnostic information, and performance. This not only helps fleets improve asset management and minimise downtime, but it also contributes to a more efficiently operated jobsite, reduces fuel consumption, and much more.
BIOGRAPHY:
Somers is responsible for the strategic direction of construction and utility programs and services for AEM membership, and he will serve as the primary liaison to AEM’s CE Sector Board and with CE-specific industry organisations, customer groups and government agencies, both in North America and worldwide.
In addition to driving value to both the exhibitors and attendees at the association’s trade shows, CONEXPO-CON/AGG and The Utility Expo, Somers strives to help equipment manufacturers improve their businesses.
