Joel is responsible for driving a culture of innovation, partnering with leading global technology firms and demonstrating the value of applying advanced technologies to current and new products, processes and services.

Alongside the global innovation team he leads, Joel focuses on “connecting the dots” of emerging technologies to create new solutions to address customers’ toughest challenges to lead the industry forward.

Under Joel’s leadership, Bobcat Company was recognized as a winner and received multiple honours by Fast Company’s 2023 World Changing Ideas Awards and named a CES® 2022 Innovation Awards honoree in the Vehicle Intelligence & Transportation and Smart Cities categories. Through these innovations, Doosan Bobcat is empowering people to accomplish more and in more sustainable ways.
Since joining the company in 1997, Joel has held a variety of roles. Prior to his current position, Joel served as vice president of North American sales for nearly 10 years. He also served within the sales training group, working with customers and dealers, including roles as a national accounts manager and regional sales manager. 

Joel holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University in Fargo. 

Joel is actively involved in organizations in support of the manufacturing and compact equipment industries, as well as STEM education. He also serves as a frequent guest, speaker and panellist with news outlets and innovation and industry events.
